VS 10-250 Series
Energy
consumption often accounts for 70-90% of the overall lifecycle
costs (LCC) of compressed air production. Gardner Denver
Variable Speed Drive compressors are designed to optimize
energy consumption and ensure remarkable savings in LCC
costs.
Compressed air demand can vary considerably and on the
average only 50-70% of the compressor’s maximum capacity
is used. With a standard compressor, this means repeated
switching between on and off operation resulting in reduced
efficiency and high energy consumption.
Gardner Denver’s VS Series compressors combine the advanced
ENDURO® air end and integrated TEMPEST® technology with
modern frequency converters, enabling economical power consumption
in direct proportion to air demand. This results in energy
savings of up to 35-40% and up to 20-30% savings in LCC
costs during the first five-year period. The payback time
for these compressors could be as short as one to two years.
The payback time of the cost difference between a regular
compressor and the VS Series compressors is very short,
only few months.
The VS Series compressors use proven frequency converter
technology to control compressor capacity precisely in proportion
to the air demand. The compressor runs the air at the eXact
RPM® to keep the set pressure level constant. This smart
system adapts quickly to air demand changes and minimizes
power consumption in all operating conditions. |
